Hawker heritage fried carrot cake stall at Bendemeer from Simon Road roots
Simon Road (Fried Carrot Cake) 后港六条石 is a fried carrot cake stall at Bendemeer Market & Food Centre, tracing its roots to the old Simon Road area of Hougang. The stall specialises in the Singapore hawker classic of fried radish cake, offered in both the white and black versions. The white version is stir-fried with egg and preserved radish for a savoury, slightly crispy finish, while the black version adds sweet dark soy sauce for a caramelised, moreish flavour. The stall's name honours its Hougang heritage, reflecting the migration of hawkers from the now-redeveloped Simon Road food scene into newer hawker centres. Its presence at Bendemeer ensures that this traditional recipe continues to find new fans among the neighbourhood's diverse dining community.Operating hours not available

A decent sized portion of carrot cake for just $2 is diabolical in this economy. Props to the uncle maintaining this price after years of selling carrot cake 🫡 🙏

Attracted by the $2 carrot cake, I had to try some. It was really small portion. Ordered the $3 Ckt as week and the portion was just as small. Overall, not so nice taste for me.

Although it may not be the best, but it's cheap and simple. Just a mere $2 for a plate.
