Comforting Teochew-style pork porridge at Bendemeer, served with tender pork and savoury sides.
Redhill Pork Porridge is a humble stall at Bendemeer Market and Food Centre that specialises in Teochew-style rice porridge paired with a variety of pork toppings. The porridge itself is smooth and subtly flavoured, providing a comforting base for the real stars of the bowl: tender sliced pork, pork innards and pork balls that are cooked to just the right consistency. A drizzle of sesame oil and a sprinkle of spring onions round out each serving, adding fragrance and freshness. It is the sort of unpretentious, warming meal that has sustained generations of Singaporean diners. The stall carries on the tradition of Redhill-area porridge makers, and its presence at Bendemeer ensures that this heritage comfort food continues to find new fans among those who appreciate honest, home-style cooking.Operating Hours

I’m dropping my rating from 5 to 3 stars. The standard has fallen tremendously lately; I’m not sure if they changed the chef or the recipe, but the quality isn't what it used to be. As a regular who has eaten here 1–2 times a week since November, the lack of consistency is obvious. Specifically, the liver has been out of stock for a long period. Even though a main ingredient is missing, there is no top-up of other ingredients to compensate. I’m essentially paying the same price for a partial dish. I'm leaving a picture of the recent porridge I had during CNY week - look at the consistency of the porridge - it literally still has whole rice grains in there. Absolutely disappointing. In summary: a couple months back - a bowl of 5/5 porridge with the BEST liver and great taste with decent porridge texture. Currently the standard has dropped so much I'm speechless. Not eating this anytime soon unless things get fixed. Unfortunate.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this porridge stall at this food centre. It turned out to be one of the best bowl of pork porridge I have ever had. The portion was generous, with sliced pork, liver, and meatballs that were very fresh and cooked perfectly. At just $4, it was a delicious treat.
