Stumbled upon this stall at about 2pm. I thought the kway chap stall at this market usually closed about 10+ am, without hesitation i ordered my fixed. Only to find out that theres another stal Teck Heng Leong with the red signboard. with a long history in toa payoh lor 8 market that i grew up eating. To my surprised when i first sipped on the soup, i wanted to give it thumbs and toes up!! The broth is thick and full of body. BEAUTIFUL!! Im sold by this stall. after years of growing up and eating the other stall, today i discovered a new 'buddy. My meal cost me $4.70, i wholeheartedly devoured it in 10mins. SHIOK!

Taste wise it is good. Intestines and tongue are both well cooked and no funky taste. Price is reasonable. They are quite good. Worth trying for those that haven't.

Kway Chap (SGD $6.50) @ Guan Kee Kway Chap.
.
Since the early 1980s, Ng Guan Chye starts before dawn, thoroughly cleaning and preparing the pig offals for braising, with ingredients simmered in soy sauce and herbs non-stop for over 3 hours.
.
The odourless braised intestines, both small and large varieties, have a tender springy chew to texture with clean savoury salty herbal earthy flavour.
.
The gelatinous braised pig's skin was shiny and soft, with salty savoury herbal notes. The tender braised pork belly carried meaty savoury salty flavour.
.
The generous bowl of soft silky kway teow / rice noodle sheets in the warm soy soup / broth carries strong herbal earthy salty grainy sweet flavour, while their chili has a nice tangy zesty sour spicy kick.

Stall have moved from TPY. Ordered the one person portion. $5/- plus $0.70 for Kway. Pleasantly surprise by the uniqueness of their chili sauce. It has a tangy kick to the chilli. For a one person portion, it has a lot of ingredients; fish cake, dou pok, pigskin, intestine, one whole egg, pork belly & powered intestine.
As many other stalls offered meals less than $4, Guan Kee is losing out in pricing if the cheapest meal is at $5.
