Heritage Fuzhou oyster cake stall at Berseh Food Centre, frying UFO-shaped oyster cakes since the 1950s.
Fu Zhou Poh Hwa Oyster Cake at Berseh Food Centre crafts a traditional Fuzhou street snack that is rare to find in Singapore. Fresh oysters are folded into a flour batter with parsley and crushed peanuts, then deep-fried into a crisp, golden UFO-shaped cake. The recipe has been passed down through the family since the 1950s, preserving a taste of Fuzhou's heritage hawker culture. Each cake shatters on the first bite, giving way to a briny, herbaceous interior that is best eaten piping hot. For lovers of old-school hawker craft, this stall is a living archive of a vanishing tradition.

Ordered normal oyster cake for $2.80, it was freshly fried. It was okay. Crispy, tasty but with only 1 oyster and a bit of prawn, left much to be desire. It is certainly filled with other meat I think is pork but not sure if that adds or take away from the dish. Peanut was great though.
Heng Ryan
Very very good, freshly fried on the spot and piping hot and very tasty. Will comeback here again for sure.
Poon Thomas
Ordered the large portion for $3.30/pc, which comes with more oysters and shrimp. Each oyster cake is freshly fried on order, though it might take a long time (~30mins) if you’re caught behind a large order.
Low Elizabeth
It’s getting so hard to find authentic oyster cakes in Singapore, but this stall is the real deal. The Fu Zhou Poh Hwa Oyster Cakes are perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with fresh oysters and meat on the inside.
Loh Thomas
Could use more filling as it's mainly batter and does not offer that rich savoury bite of mixed pork and oyster that one would expect from an oyster puff. Price is affordable but so are ingredients used.
