The stall produces both sweet and savoury varieties of these deep-fried dough pastries: the sweet version filled with red bean paste and the salty version with a five-spice seasoning, both crispy on the outside and soft within. At just one dollar for six pieces, it is one of the best value snacks in any hawker centre, and the steady queue during peak hours reflects its enduring popularity. Interesting experience, you get to fry your own hum chim pang (dough fritters)!! I enjoyed the ones with the red bean fillings more, but both flavors were amazing. Light and fluffy dough fritters. At $1 per portion, this nostalgic stall is definitely one not to be missed if you are in the area 💯
