I was fortunate that the black white fish soup was closed the day I visited the food center. I found this gem. Good old fashion beef noodles. $4 for a bowl of mixed ingredient noodle soup. May not win any Michelin star but good enough to recommend that you should have a nice bowl whenever you're at jalan Berseh food centre.

Popular Hawker Center and always crowded during peak hours. Many gems waiting to be explored. This still has been here for many years but it is under radar. Did not managed to see any posting in all the media (maybe I have missed?).

Some dishes just warm your soul and and this bowl of beef noodle soup with tendon and tripe is so comforting that I come by every week. The broth was packed with slow-simmered goodness, the kind that could only come from hours of boiling bones, herbs, and spices. The beef was tender, the tendon soft, and the tripe added that perfect bite. Topped with pickled mustard greens, there is only the soup version here (for fans of dry beef noodles, do give this a try). Best $5 spent!

This auntie running the stall is the epitome of Singapore aunties, and all aunties should look up to her 🫡 Strong, independent, one woman show, and most importantly, cooking the best beef noodle soup I have eaten in my entire life in Singapore. I ordered the $5 version, and auntie asked mixed (meat and other parts)? Which I answered yes. The soup was extremely flavorful and you could tell it was boiled for hours from beef bones. The sour and spicy chili, along with some dried shrimps and black beans, was a perfect match to the generous ingredients. The vermicelli was finished way before, and a boat load of meats were still left. As a fan of dried beef noodles, I was initially skeptical to give this a try as they only served the soup version. Boy do I have to thank my adventurous self.
