Over 40 years of fried carrot cake at Toa Payoh West, served black, white, or yuanyang
26 Carrot Cake has been frying carrot cake at Toa Payoh West Market and Food Centre for over 40 years, making it one of the neighbourhood's longest-standing stalls. The stall serves the classic Singapore fried carrot cake in white, black, and yuanyang styles. The white version keeps the steamed rice cake cubes lightly seasoned with chai poh and egg, while the black version adds sweet dark soy sauce for a caramelised finish. The yuanyang option combines both on one plate. Consistency and heritage define this stall, which draws loyal regulars who have grown up with its familiar flavours.Operating Hours

Food is really slow and so so. About 30mins wait on a weekend. Taste was ok only. Personally feel not worth the wait as the cook just take his own sweet time cook one by one, but the taste not one by one taste. Price is same with others in the food centre.
